Bodog is Now New Bodog

Bodog.com has lost their domain name and is now operating under newbodog.com instead. The online slots and gambling company is fighting a dispute over the ownership of the name of the original site. For the meantime, they will be found at their new site, but are continuing to fight for the old name.

Bodog officials did not respond to allegations from the Nevada courts in reference to a $48.6 million default judgment that was obtained by a Las Vegas company regarding patent infringement. First Technology of Las Vegas had received the judgment against Bodog Entertainment Group, S.A., Bodog.net and Bodog.com.

Many say that had they responded they would have kept the names, but the company also has to be careful of their dealings with the United States Department of Justice as many online slots and gambling companies have been battling them. Many UK based sites have come under fire from the government, and many think that Bodog was simply trying to stay under the radar.

However, in the interim, they have lost all of their registered domains and are using the New Bodog sites instead. The company says that they will continue to fight until they get back their original sites.
