European Gaming
Conference
More than 1,200 executives from the online slots
and gambling industry came to the 6th Annual European I-Gaming
Conference and Expo. They wanted to talk about the latest online
slots and gambling information and about the latest developments as
they pertained to the Unlawful Internet Gambling and Enforcement Act
that the US had passed a little more than a year ago.
They also wanted to discuss the latest electronic trends for online
slots and gambling, as well as B&M technology. This year’s opening
address for the conference was done by CEO Gigi Levi of 888.com.
Levi said that it was important to discover and embrace the latest
technologies as they pertain to the industry so that they could
continue to grow.
The groups talked about expansion into Asia and Eastern Europe and
how the integration of payment processing into that region would
completely change the online slots and gambling industry. They say
that it has the potential to grow in dramatic ways, and that they
are looking at that as a possibility in the coming months.
The majority of companies agreed that it was time to make online
slots and gambling more entertaining, and to add to their online
casinos so that they create more of a whole package for visitors.
They all agreed that there would be a long struggle before the UIGEA
was overturned, but they felt that it was possible.
