Dookeran’s Ties to Illegal Casinos Concerning

Some are concerned that the call for manifestos from the three political parties has not been heeded. They say that the PNM manifesto is the only one who has made it fairly clear as to what their citizens can expect from them and basically how great they have been so far. The UNC has not said really anything of substance yet, so many are still wondering what their policies are, or even if they have any.

However, COP’s candidate, Winston Dookeran, seems to be all full of great ideas, while still not addressing the idea of having a manifesto. He has been calling for “new politics” and “truth, justice and freedom” and that he is just the man to bring them to light. However, for all of his blustering, it does not seem that he is any closer to shedding light on himself.

Dookeran has already been seen to endorse illegal slots and casinos, and wants to expand them into online slots etc. In fact, the owners of the illegal casinos and slots are allegedly funding the COP campaign for more than $30 million. This is the perfect opportunity for him to pay them back for their devotion by basically giving them everything they want.

Dookeran has also said that he is interested in expanding gambling so that everyone who has access to a computer and the internet can play the online slots, etc. This of course, would include children who have access as well. He wants to legalize online slots, which many say would be a terrible idea especially since they are shown to increase the amount of gambling addiction because of their addictive nature.
