Cash Pot Increases
Revenue
Seemingly living up to its name, Cash Pot was the
popular game of choice for slots players during the months of May,
June and July. Supreme Ventures Limited’s executives are not sure
what they can chalk this increase in gambling up to, as they didn’t
do anything different from what they have been doing all along.
Cash Pot is their flagship game, and they had 83% average liability
for prizes, which is the highest on record for the quarter. They
think that perhaps this was responsible for their profit dropping to
$4.7 million from $15.7 during the same time last year. The game
usually pays out 72% to gamblers, and is traditionally their largest
revenue earner.
Sonia Davidson, SVL’s VP of Corporate Communications says that they
don’t know why there was such an increase in betting, but they are
assuming it is because people do not want to play illegal online
slots. She thinks that their clients are coming back and playing
registered online slots as they know that they don’t have to worry
about payment.
Because they had other ventures to rely on, the company was able to
make their prize payments and meet regulations as well. They were
ensuring that they did not end up with the same problems they did
last year when they had breached their license due to heavy
acquisitions which led to them having less than 75% of their assets
in cash.
