Revenue Increase for
Online Slots Company
The second-largest online gambling operator in the
U.K., 888 Holdings Inc., reported increased casino revenues. In
fact, they have reported a 55% increase in their revenue for the
fourth quarter.
This amount is attributed to those that are playing the online slots
and gambling at their online casino. The company owns Casino-on-Net
and Pacific Poker, two very popular online slots and gambling sites.
They show sales of $62.8 million, which is an increase of $22.3
million over last year’s figures of $40.5 million.
Their fourth quarter sales from their online slots and gambling
games increased 60% to $35 million, and poker went up 16% to $21.4
million. They say that the increase had to do with existing
customers who were showing an increase per client for online
gambling.
Many thought that the company would not do as well as they have in
the past as 2007 was their first full year that they were not
accepting business from US customers. However, the company added
sports betting to its portfolio which many say is responsible for
the additional revenue when really it was expected to be less.
