PacificNet Wins Bid
PacificNet, Inc. is a well known provider of
gaming technologies, and they recently announced that their
subsidiary PacificNet iMobile was selected by Motorola China to take
on the responsibility of the e-commerce portal for Motorola mobile
products in China. They would be operating as well as designing
Phase III of their MOTO Store portal.
With this phase, China’s residents would have access to Motorola
phones, etc. so that they can get wireless mobile access to music
and games. Included in these games would be online slots and
gambling games, which made their clients very excited at the
prospects that were now available to them.
PacificNet will be responsible for most of the aspects of the portal
– Internet payment processing, testing, design, implementation,
customer support, etc. All of this plus a two year maintenance
agreement sets them up for not only the completion of Phase III but
also the preparation of Phase IV.
Tony Tong, Chairman and CEO of PacificNet says that they are excited
by the teaming up of their companies, and that the mobile online
slots and games that they will be able to offer their clients will
open an entirely new world for their mobile customers. With China
being the largest population of mobile phone users in the world,
this is quite the coup for the company.
