Aussies Clean Out Gambling

The latest concept of the new Labour government in Australia has many in the online slots and gambling world concerned and somewhat confused. The new government, led by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, has decided to increase the amount of control and censorship that they currently have over the internet, so that they can weed out undesirables such as online slots and gambling.

The plan is to make Internet Service Providers provide “clean feeds” to their country. They are to ensure that they are free of porn and online slots and gambling. Australian IT experts are not so happy with the plan, but many are.

The IT experts say that by trying to clean out online slots and gambling as well as porn they are going to be looking at significantly slowing down the feed and that it was “idealistic but impractical.” They say that one of Rudd’s campaign promises was to speed up the Antipodean Internet and is doing the exact opposite.

They say he claimed he was going to bring broadband across the country, but blacklisting ISPs is only going to slow it down. They say that the claims that Rudd made when campaigning did not include any sort of ban of sites that involved online slots and gambling or porn and that they would never have supported such a ban.
