Finns Concerned With Online Slots and Gambling

Finnish players are known for their online gambling habits. They play their online slots and gamble in high volumes of finances and are really good at it. It could be that it is a little chilly up there over the winter and hence they have a lot of time to perfect those skills, but the government is concerned where it might be going.

They have been watching the numbers of online slots players and gamblers and are concerned that underage gambling and addiction are going to start being a problem – if it isn’t already. They want to take steps to ensure that they are doing everything they can to protect these two groups, especially since they know that online slots and gambling are just going to grow from here.

Their Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has come up with a proposal that would ensure that underage gamblers would not be able to participate in the online slots. By working on the language of the Lotteries Act and making it stricter, they are hoping to be able to stop those under 18 from being able to gamble on the online slots, lotto and Toto.

They are also looking to put limits on the amount of financial transactions that they can have, so that they can help those with an issue of problem gambling. One of their ideas suggests that casinos would have to refund monies paid by those that are addicts or under the influence of drugs or alcohol when they played. This of course opens a whole other can of worms, and it has yet to be seen if this will work for them or not.
