New Slots Class
Being Offered
With the Governor of
Florida, Charlie Crist signing a compact with the Seminole Indians
to allow additional slots and table games at their casinos,
companies and residents within the state have already started trying
to figure out how they might benefit from the addition.
It seems that a slots repair class might be in order. The Sheridan
Technical Center in Hollywood definitely thinks so, as they have
started offering a slots repair class for their students and are
expecting a pretty good turnout. The school is located in South
Florida, but other schools are not immune to the desire to profit
from the additional slots.
It is expected that many schools within the state will also start
offering classes that pertain to both slots and the table games that
will be coming in. More schools will assuredly start offering dealer
training, so that they can provide employees for the tribal casinos
in addition to the ones in Broward County.
The fact that they will also be able to hire people within the state
who are trained on fixing Class III slots, the Las Vegas type, will
make the transitions for many casinos all that much easier. Some
schools do not like the idea of profiting from gambling and have
already stated that they will not be offering slots classes, nor
will they train dealers.
Once the kinks are worked out however, more than enough schools are
willing to profit from the slots and will be doing so in record
numbers.
