Slot Machines Not the Only Attraction

When asked, the majority of Fylde Coast residents said that they would like to see something other than just slot machines sitting in Blackpool. They say that they would like to see more families coming to visit them, and if they only offer slot machines then most of those people won’t want to come. They will only see those that are interested in slot machines, and not those interested in enjoying their neck of the woods.

However, Gordon Marsden MP seems to not be interested in anything other than slot machines in the area. Each time that residents or anyone else for that matter, have approached them and suggested that perhaps they should offer something other than slot machines they have been unsuccessful.

Residents say that Marsden has already wasted seven years on slot machines, and they want to see something else. According to residents, the £100m Rainforest Ventures project could bring in families and tourists if they play their cards right. By bringing in attractions other than just slot machines, they could truly have a vacation destination.

They have suggested a concert venue, or an exhibition center; they have also said that attractions such as those found at Disney World might be nice to bring in the families. They say that families spend money in all of Blackpool, so they would like to see more of that demographic drawn in.
