Slingo Finds
Advertising Info Useful
Many people are spending a lot of money to
advertise their online slots and gambling sites, through the use of
videos. Slingo.com decided to find out if all the hype was worth it.
They checked to see if it was really useful and if it was worth the
effort and money that it would cost companies to advertise that way.
They found that online videos will be watched by more than 154
million Americans, which is an increase of 12.15 over last year.
However, of those that watch, more than half say that they stop
watching the online videos if they run into an in-stream
advertisement.
The sampling of the watchers entailed more than 2,600 online
viewers, and they said that if they wanted people to watch the
videos they had to make them more entertaining and shorter in
nature. Content had a lot to do with it as well. If they were
watching a video in regards to online slots and an ad for online
slots came on, they were twice as likely to watch the ad then if it
had been for an unrelated product.
Some found that if the ads could be for different content as long as
they were different and entertaining. Let’s say you are watching
something regarding online slots, and you wanted to sell a car. The
car ad would have to be very entertaining, or the watcher would not
watch.
However, this did not apply to free games. People were more likely
to watch an ad that preceded a game if that game were free. It did
not matter what the content was, if it made the game free people
would watch it.
