Slot Review: Spooky Slots
We really
like scary movies. Our philosophy is: the more terrifying, the
better! On any given Friday night you can find us at the video
store, perusing the horror section and debating between the freaky,
the gory, the supernatural, and the “just plain weird.” Spooky Slots
was probably intended to be a Halloween slot game, but we decided to
go ahead and review it – after all, this is one pokey that is right
up our alley. Ultimately, we decided that Spooky Slots is a fruit
machine title that is less spooky than serviceable, and less
blood-curdling than cute and cuddly.
Spooky Slots is a five-reel, five-payline online slot machine title
by Gamesys. Coin values start at a value of twenty cents and range
upwards to a value of one dollar. Max coins is set at a value of
twenty-five, or five coins per payline on a single wager. This makes
the per-spin max one of twenty-five dollars. The jackpot is two
thousand coins, or two thousand dollars. Not a bad little jackpot by
any means, but nothing exceptional, either.
The black-hatted witch is the jackpot symbol for this terrifyingly
terrific online slot. Her cartoon-y purple face fits in perfectly
alongside toothless depictions of a jack o’ lantern, a mummy, a
werewolf, and the Frankenstein monster (complete with
Hollywood-authentic bolts in his neck.) There are no wilds,
scatters, multipliers, or bonuses. This means that slot novices are
more likely to enjoy Spooky Slots than anyone else, charming though
it may be.
