Playtech Slays Competition With Gladiator Slot

It’s a fairly recent film, but Gladiator has already earned its place in the annals of Hollywood history. Silver screen hunk Russell Crowe earned an Academy Award for his portrayal of the indentured servant Maximus, who becomes beloved throughout Rome as a champion gladiator. Featuring many of the original voice actors from the movie (although sadly, not Crowe), the newly-announced Gladiator slot machine title is going to definitely give Playtech some major clout. The online casino software firm recently inked a four-year, exclusive deal with Paramount Pictures to bring some of Paramount’s best-loved films to life as online slots. Gladiator is a five-reel, twenty-five payline slot title. Unsurprisingly for a pokey based off a film, the graphics are rumored to be vivid and spectacular. The icons are rumored to be straight from the movie, and clips of the actual film play when you hit certain combinations. You will recognize such now-famous characters as Joaquin Phoenix’s evil Emperor Commodus and Maximum’s star-crossed love, the beautiful Lucilla (played by Connie Nielsen).
