Slot Review: Aladdin’s Lamp
It’s hard to
believe that seventeen years has passed since Disney’s classic film,
Aladdin, hit theaters. The animated version of one of the best known
Arabian Nights legends is instantly recognizable among most
audiences in the Western Hemisphere for its blockbuster music, great
humor, and warm moral at the center of the tale. Don’t expect the
charm of Disney’s “diamond in the rough” tale of a street-rat from
Agrabah from this online slot machine game. Aladdin’s Lamp is a
perfectly ordinary slot title, albeit with not much “oomph” to
distinguish it from the spate of other similarly-themed games out
there.
Aladdin’s Lamp is a five-reel, five-payline slot title by Gamesys.
Coin values start at twenty cents and range upwards to one dollar.
Max coins is set at five, or one coin per payline allowed. That
means that you can bet as much as five dollars per spin – a very
reasonable amount. The jackpot is two thousand coins, or two
thousand dollars on a max bet. Not quite a genie’s ransom in
treasure, but a very nice prize still!
The gameplay of Aladdin’s Lamp is quite simple. Don’t expect any
wild symbols, scatter prizes, multipliers, or interactive bonus
games with this pokey. In fact, this online slot is entirely free of
either bells or whistles. The graphics – which include Aladdin, the
genie, and a trio of dancing harem girls in veils – are serviceable,
but not exceptional. That’s actually how we would sum up out overall
perception of the Aladdin’s Lamp title in a nutshell: serviceable,
but not exceptional.
