Slingo Brings The
Best of Both Worlds
There’s a hot new game in town for those folks who
love both the convenience of slot machines and the excitement of
Bingo! The hybrid of these two games is known, unsurprisingly, as
Slingo. Slingo is a product that was unveiled last fall by AC Coin &
Slot, and is an adaptation of a popular Internet title and several
different types of scratch-off tickets with this theme. Because it
is still a new slot game title, Slingo is still in limited
distribution. One casino carrying Slingo, the Isle Casino and Racing
establishment in Pompano Beach, Florida, reports that Slingo is “the
most popular game on the floor,” and that people are occasionally
lined up to hightail it to these terminals when the casino opens!
Slingo has a minimum bid of two cents, following the trend in land
casino gaming towards players preferring games with
lower-denomination bids, as well as those titles that they can spend
longer amounts of time playing. In these troubled times, players
want to get the most bang for their buck, and aren’t contented with
the small amount of time spinning the reels that they get for their
wager. This so-called “casual gamer” is the exact demographic for
Slingo.
Basically, each wager gets the player five “numbers,” that they then
have scratched off their virtual Bingo card. The numbers come on the
slot machine reels. Slingo is a sixty-payline slot machine with a
bonus game. If players are able to fill their card, they have won
the jackpot. As casinos rush to install one and two-cent machines on
their casino floors, we bet that Slingo terminals will be in hot
demand!
