Slot Review: Super Sideshow

We are big fans of the fruit machine style of slot machines, especially when they are online slots. Fruit machines are what Britons call our favorite gambling devices, based on the fact that, in the good old days, these games featured mostly pictures of varying produce. Fruit machines are not entirely synonymous with slots, however – a real “fruity” has several cool features that a regular slot does not. Super Slideshow is a great example of the genre, featuring strong graphics and some really neat features not normally seen in games we review, along with an interesting circus theme.

Super Slideshow comes to us from Cryptologic, and is a three-reel, single-payline title in the classic slot machine style. Coin values are fixed at either one dollar, fifty cents, or twenty-five cents with just a single coin playable at any given time. The jackpot is two thousand coins. With coin size fixed, this can be either five hundred, one thousand, or two thousand dollars.

Like many fruit machines, Super Sideshow features Hold and Nudge buttons. Hold allows you to “hold” one of the reels to increase your chances of a winning combination, and “nudge” permits you to scoot the reels up or down a line. You get four of these to start with. There is also a cash ladder, through which you can collect bonus winnings, a “hi/lo” feature that can make you a little extra cash, and a “bonus board.” All the extra features make this a really great and unique slot game that we highly recommend for those looking for something a little different.
