Slot Review: High
Rollers
At the risk of potentially sounding crass, we have
to say that we think the reason that this online slot game is called
“High Rollers” is because the game designers had rolled something
and were high when they were creating it! This psychedelic, low-rent
online slot game is of dubious appeal. The graphics are pretty lame,
and the jackpot is minuscule. If baby boomer punters are nostalgic
for the styles of yesteryear, there are much more visually
satisfying titles through which they could experience that
sensation!
High Rollers comes to us from Real Time Gaming – an online casino
software firm from whom we have honestly come to expect better
things. Coin values start at five cents and range upwards to five
dollars. Max coins is set at a value of five, or one coin per
payline. That makes the highest per-spin wager one of twenty-five
dollars. The jackpot is one hundred coins, for an extremely low
maximum jackpot of five hundred dollars.
High Rollers is designed to appear like the terminal of an actual
slot machine, with the cabinet and arm visible. The colors are a
bizarre, drugged-our rainbow of shades, and a hippie with a blonde
Afro hairstyle is visible alongside the pay table. Images on the
reels are: a lava lamp, a butterfly, a tie-dye t-shirt, and a bus.
The rainbow-hued peace sign is the jackpot symbol. We can’t really
imagine any reason to endorse this game, but we suppose that there
is something out there for everyone. High Rollers was simply not our
favorite online slot game ever… let’s just say that we weren’t
feeling the buzz!
