Slot Review: Rock ‘n
Roller
The emergence of the Rock Band / Guitar Hero
franchise of hit video games has brought good old fashioned rock ‘n
roll back into the mainstream in a big way! Those who like a little
edge to their music will appreciate the classic rock feel of Rock ‘n
Roller, an online slot machine title by Playtech.
Coin values start at five cents, and range upwards to five dollars.
You can bet one coin per payline, for max coins of five. That makes
the highest per-spin wager one of twenty-five dollars. The jackpot
is seven hundred coins, or thirty-five hundred dollars on a maximum
bet. It’s a modest jackpot as far as these things do, but one that
pays out often… so it’s a fair trade-off.
Platinum records are the jackpot symbol for this online slot machine
title, along with electric guitars and drums. You will also noticed
one of the great ignored contributors to great rock ‘n roll music –
the harmonica. Interestingly enough, lining up three blank spaces
(which are almost always the non-paying “ghosts” filling out the
reels) will also generate a payout. The online slot screen makes you
feel as if you are actually playing a slot machine cabinet at a real
casino – green curtains are in the background and the machine looks
over a starry sky at nighttime. We are not really fans of this look
for online slots, because it really cuts down the size of the reels
and the pay table. With that said, this is a very polished and
impressive game offering.
