Slot Review: The
50,000 Pyramid
The 50,000 Pyramid is an exceptional online slot
machine game based off the successful and well-loved “Pyramid”
series of television game shows that became popular in the 1960s.
The basic premise of the game shows hosted by Dick Clark was that
teams made up of celebrities and “civilians” (average folks) would
give each other clues towards guessing a certain thing or phrase
that had been assigned to them based on a choice of broad categories
off the titular pyramid. The value of the pyramid’s top prize has
changed – TV has seen a $10,000 Pyramid, a $25,000 Pyramid, and a
$100,000 Pyramid. The 50,000 Pyramid is made by Wager Works, one of
our favorite online casino software companies, and one known for
distributing licensed titles.
The 50,000 Pyramid is a five-reel, fifteen-payline online slot game.
Coin values start at one cent and range upwards to five dollars,
with max coins of one hundred making the highest per-spin wager one
of five hundred dollars. The jackpot is two and a half million
dollars on a maxed-out bet, or fifty thousand coins.
Fans of the TV show will recognize many of the images on the reels –
there are the contestants, the pyramid, the “mystery 7,” the
celebrity star, and prizes like a television and a gold watch. The
graphics are nothing short of incredible, and the gameplay is
action-packed. You will really feel like you are taking part in a
game show! There is also a Pyramid-based bonus game, which might
just be our favorite part of this online slot game, minus that
behemoth jackpot!
