Slot Review:
Fighting Fish
Betta fish, a species native to Asia, are also
called Siamese Fighting Fish. These interesting fish are brightly
colored with shades of red, purple, and blue, with dramatic fins and
tails that flare when they see another of their species. The male
fish will fight each other to the deal –they are very territorial-
hence the name. These fish are also known for the elaborate “bubble
nests” that they will build for their offspring. The Fighting Fish
online slot game by Microgaming is not about betta fish, but
actually fighting fish – the boxing kind, that is. This slot machine
title was new for March 2009, and is sure to please those who like
whimsical pokies!
Fighting Fish is a five-reel, thirty-payline online slot. Coin
values range from one cent to twenty-five cents, which means that
this is playable as a penny slot if you should so choose. Max coins
is set at three hundred, which makes the highest per-spin wager one
of seventy-five dollars. The jackpot is five thousand coins, or
seventeen hundred twenty-five dollars.
The graphics of this slot machine title have an attractive and
cartoonish look to them that is very cute and appealing. The actual
fighting fish of the title make an appearance, along with boxing
gloves and water buckets. There are wilds, scatters, free spins, and
a gamble bonus game in which you can up the ante on your winnings by
correctly guessing the color of a playing card. When the red and
blue fish are activated on the reels, you will actually see them
duke it out across the reels in a dramatic animation!
