Slot Review:
Dioblo 13
We honestly don’t know why this game is called
“Dioblo” 13, and not “Diablo” 13. The demonic-looking entities
present on the reels definitely put us in mind of devils, which is
what “Diablo” translates to in Spanish. The “13” is, at least,
self-explanatory – it is considered an unlucky number in most of the
Western world, to the point that many high rise buildings are
deliberately built without a thirteenth floor! Also, the game has
thirteen paylines. Regardless of the name, however, this is a really
impressive online slot game. Dioblo 13 is a little scary, a little
evil-looking, and very playable. It features some great graphics,
although the jackpot is very tiny. We were pleased to see a
substantial offering from the Top Game software firm, whose titles
have struck us as very hit-or-miss in the past. (See our recent
review of “Fantacy Nuts” for proof of this phenomenon.)
Dioblo 13 is a five-reel, thirteen-payline slot game. Coin values
range from ten cents to five dollars, with max coins of thirteen
(one per payline) making the highest per-spin wager one of
sixty-five dollars. There is a jackpot of just six hundred coins, or
three thousand dollars on a top wager.
Trios of jawless skulls, mystic blue eyeballs, an evil cat, and a
horned demon all appear on the reels, which are set on a background
looking like a gray and black stage that is all broken in places.
The haunted house symbol is wild, and the gray-bearded wizard and
the beautiful elf are the two scatter symbols. There is also a bonus
round.
