Jackpot Winner Takes
Home “King”ly Cash
A mother of three from St. Petersburg, Florida
came to Oklahoma to visit relatives and ended up flying home with
over a quarter-million dollars! Forty-five year old Tina M. Bell was
wasting some time spinning the reels at the Osage Million Dollar Elm
Casino in Bartlesville when the slot game terminal she was playing
gave her the message to contact a casino attendant. Bell said that
she was initially “mad,” because she was having fun playing the
Elvis Multi-Strike game. Of course, when an attendant told her that
she had won seven hundred seventy-six dollars, she cheered right up!
Perhaps Bell just picked the right day to visit. Friday was the
Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino’s second birthday. Bell’s jackpot is
a record-setter for the Osage Nation, which runs seven casinos in
Osage County. Ressa Files, the General Manager for the casino,
called it “an exciting day,” and expressed her enthusiasm for being
able to celebrate the life-changing slot machine win with Bell.
Elvis Multi-Strike is a slot game produced by IGT of Reno, Nevada,
the biggest slot machine maker in the world. Fans of “the King” love
this title, which integrates great Elvis tunes as you spin the
reels.
Bell has the option to either take her slot machine winnings as a
one-time lump sum payment – the precise after-tax figure of which is
yet to be determined – or as twenty-one annual payments of just
under thirty-seven thousand dollars. Bell will be using some of the
money to make funeral arrangements for her newly-deceased brother,
as well as to help out family members including her adult children.
