Thunderstruck Goes Mobile

Thunderstruck is one of those online slot gaming titles that pretty much everyone and their mother has played a time or two. This perennially-popular game has an attractive and entertaining theme having to do with Vikings and the pantheon of Norse gods. It is fun to play, potentially lucrative, and always a big attraction on the internet casinos that offer it as one of their titles. Now, fans of Thunderstruck can take the action with them, courtesy of a mobile adaptation of the title from top mobile gambling provider Spin3 and software gaming giant Microgaming.

Spin3 announced last week that it was adding Thunderstruck as its newest five-reel slot machine title. As time goes on, Spin3’s inventory of exciting and fun punters is only expanding. Currently, fifteen games are playable by punters possessing a handheld mobile device, like a Web-enabled cellular phone, a PDA, or the new mini laptops. British online casino firm Ladbrokes will be the first to launch the mobile version of Thunderstruck, expected within the next week or so. It is anticipated that several other licensees will be adding the game.

Spin3’s chief, Matti Zinder, expressed the thought that online slots are “perfectly suited to the mobile platform because they are quick and simple to play.” Indeed, the adaptation of the epically-popular online gambling world to the newest mobile technology is an inspired move, and one that seems ripe for years of expansion. Thunderstruck, a five-reel, nine-payline slot game has two bonus features and max coin size of forty-five. It joins such other mobile hits as Tomb Raider, Major Millions, and Pub Fruity.
