Life Beyond 3 and
5
If you are a fan of online casino slot games, you
have figured out by now that the overwhelming preponderance of
punters out there are divided into two groups: three reel games, and
five reel games. Three reel slot machines represent the history of
this classic gambling diversion. The first slots developed had just
three reels, and, today, three reel games tend to be simpler and
less flashy than their five reel counterparts. With five reels,
games are able to contain many more paylines which means more
opportunities to bet and win.
It makes sense, then, that a slot game with even MORE reels would be
very attractive to players. Why havent seven reel slot machines
become popular? With the advent of internet gambling, virtually
anything is possible no longer is the design of slot machines
limited by practical terminal size and the logistics of coordinating
the motion of so many reels. Surprisingly, only one major casino
gaming developer has produced any seven reel varieties Vegas
Technology.
So far, Vegas Tech has produced just two seven-reel games, both of
which can be found in both practice versions and real, playable
titles on the popular Slotland casino site. Neither of these slots
have anything fancy like wilds, scatters, multipliers, or bonus
games. However, these games are very fun, if for no other reason
than the novelty of playing such peculiar slots! Consider, however,
the vast amount of possibility that exists for where designers could
go with this technology! Are seven-reel slots the wave of the
future? Only time will tell!
