Slot Review: Ronin
A “ronin” is a samurai with no master. In feudal
Japan, most samurai were had patrons whom they protected and fought
for, but the ronin were known as wanderers. The image of the
wandering swordsman is an evocative and beautiful one. The Ronin
online slot machine title by Real Time Gaming isn’t beautiful, per
se, but it is certainly a strong enough effort. Those who have a
penchant for either the oriental or the medieval should get a kick
out of the historical background of this slot game, and those who
have neither will probably be tempted by the size of the jackpot.
Ronin is a five-reel, twenty-payline online slot machine title. Coin
values start at just a penny (making this acceptable for players
with small bankrolls or those who play solely for the love of the
game), and range up to five dollars. Max coins is set at a value of
one per payline, or twenty total. That makes the highest wager one
of one hundred dollars per spin. The jackpot is ten thousand coins,
or fifty thousand dollars with a maxed-out wager.
The reels of Ronin are set against a blue-sky background, while pink
flowers wave in the breeze. Red banners are creatively utilized to
convey the betting, balance, and win information. Letters and
numbers are the predominate symbols on the reels, but a horse, a
helmet, and a shrine are all also pictured. There is a random
jackpot that can be won on any spin! Between this and the
multi-level free spins feature, this is certainly a jam-packed slot
game.
