Slot Review: Porky
Payout
Color us surprised that the Hanna Barbera
corporation has not yet sued Microgaming for trademark infringement
for its Porky Payout title. The lead character is an anthropomorphic
pig wearing a suit jacket and clutching a lit cigar. We don’t know
if he chuckles and says: “Th-that’s all, folks!” but the
similarities to Porky Pig are much too close to be denied. Anyway,
Porky Payout is a slot game based around the premise that this flush
porcine is giving away some of his expansive bounty to you, the
lucky slots player. There is nothing exceptional about this
middle-of-the-road slot game offering; certainly nothing that made
us squeal!
Porky Payout is a five-reel, twenty-payline slot machine game. Coin
values run as low as one cent, and go up to fifty cents with a max
coin allowance of four hundred coins (twenty per payline). That’s
two hundred dollars per spin. The jackpot tops out at fifteen
thousand dollars, or seventy-five hundred dollars. That’s certainly
not a stingy payout by any means, but nothing spectacular, either.
A tray of cigars, sparkling jeweled cuff links, and a sexy lady pig
(shall we call her Miss Piggy?) are all present on the reels, along
with rounded and bubbly letters and numbers. There are wild and
scatter symbols, as well as a bonus game in which you can pick from
several gold coins to get a collected bonus amount. Some of the
bonus amounts are very generous, which should really make this
feature quite popular with players.
