Casino Software
Providers: Parlay Entertainment
Parlay Entertainment is a publicly traded,
Canadian-based online casino software company that claims to have
invented online bingo. In terms of its online slots (which is, of
course, our focus), Parlay is not really our very favorite provider.
We haven’t played many of their slot machine games, and have not
been impressed with the offerings we’ve reviewed. Of course,
Parlay’s focus is on Bingo, and they don’t devote the lion’s share
of their time and resources to anything but that. We’d give them a
pass, except for the fact that Parlay casinos keep ending up on the
roll calls of rogue casinos being circulated by such reputable
sources as CasinoMeister.com.
Parlay was founded in 1998 by Perry Malone and Scott White. In 2005
alone, as much as two million U.S. dollars were bet on Parlay casino
gaming titles. The company has offices in Oakville, Canada (where it
was founded) and in Bridgetown, Barbados. Parlay Entertainment Inc.
is traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange, where it was formerly
branded as the Dot Come Entertainment Group.
Parlay’s online slots and other casino gaming titles are based on
Flash software, but are available in both download and no download
options. Most of their titles are available in free play versions,
although Parlay has been accused of inflating the winning
percentages of the dummy modes. They have crossed into mobile and
PDA gaming, making many of their popular titles available in this
format. Casino Vega, Sunshine Bingo, Yahoo Bingo, and Virgin Bingo
are some of the Parlay Entertainment casinos, although the first two
have been accused of such scoundrel tactics as refusing to give
players money that they are owed.
