Slot Review: Golden Goose – Genie’s Gems

The Golden Goose line of online slot titles is a decent, if not overly exceptional line of pokies featuring some gilded goose eggs in the bonus rounds. Golden Goose: Genie’s Gems (let’s just call it GG:GG for short, all right?) is a squarely average online casino offering, featuring a small jackpot, weak theming, decent if repetitious gameplay, and lots of paylines of online slots action. This is a middle-of-the-road online slot in every regard, but it’s certainly not the worst title that we have ever played. With that said, the Arabian Nights-esque theme has been done better by pretty much every other Aladdin/genie/magic carpet slot that we have reviewed.

GG:GG is a five-reel, twenty-payline online slots title by Microgaming. This, by the way, is not one of Microgaming’s many, fabled exceptional and groundbreaking online slot titles. Coin values range from one cent to twenty cents, with max coins of two hundred fifty making the highest per-spin wager one of fifty dollars. The top jackpot is eight thousand coins, or sixteen hundred dollars. It’s your call whether the prize justifies the bet on this one.

Letters and numbers make up the majority of the symbols, on the reels, along with diamonds, the spires of a golden palace, a sword, and a magic lamp. There are wilds, scatters, and multipliers as well. There are four unique bonus rounds based on the golden goose; one is chosen for you randomly if you qualify. In one, for example, you must choose from several golden goose eggs to find the prizes behind them for your bonus cash.
