Slot Review: The
Grand Circus
Step right up, ladies and gents! Boys, girls, and
children of all ages love the circus. There’s just something so
grand and exciting about the big top and the shows that take place
underneath it. This is an online slot machine dedicated to the
thrills and chills of attending the circus – from the yummy (albeit
quite unhealthy) food to the trained animals doing tricks and the
human performers undertaking spellbinding feats of bravery. No
matter whether you prefer the human cannonball or the clowns, this
is a slot title with a wide range of appeal.
The Grand Circus is a five-reel, twenty-payline pokey by
Microgaming. Coin sizes range from one cent to one dollar, with max
coins of two hundred – ten coins per payline. Here’s where our big
problem with The Grand Circus comes into effect. The jackpot is only
one thousand coins. Now, one thousand dollars is certainly nothing
to scoff at, and we love a small jackpot that pays out often… but
we’re not willing to bet one-fifth of the prize amount to get it.
That would just make no financial sense.
It’s a shame, too, because there are plenty of good times to be had
at this Circus. A tubby ringmaster in a tailcoat and top hat appears
on the reels, along with bears, elephants, show ponies, and even
some popcorn and soda to munch while you take it all in! The Circus
icon is a scatter, which can win you plenty of free spins (twenty at
a time). The bonus game gives you a shot at choosing a trained bear
to see which prize he’s hiding.
