Slot Review: Bearly Fishing

There is nothing as idyllic as plopping a spot by your favorite fishing hole and settling in for a quiet afternoon baiting the reels. Bearly Fishing, one of Microgaming’s newest online slot offerings, is a tribute to the folksy pleasures of going fishing, and stars some cute and funny bears as the anglers of this title. As the name of the game implies, Bearly Fishing is about a small family of bears. They have packed a picnic and headed out to the river, but will they get lucky? More importantly, will you get lucky? We’re not talking about fish, here – we’re talking about cash!

Bearly Fishing is a five-reel, twenty-five payline online slot gaming title. Coin values range from one cent to ten cents, with max coins of five hundred – twenty per payline – making the highest per-spin wager one of fifty dollars. Herein lies out problem with this slot machine. The jackpot is only six thousand coins, or six hundred dollars. We don’t love the idea of betting fifty dollars per spin for a potential jackpot of six hundred dollars… the odds are just not in our (or anyone’s, except the casino’s) favor.

There are thirty six winning combinations within this slot machine title, the graphics of which are on the higher end of average. You’ll see the bears, a jumping fish, a fishing pool, and several other outdoorsy symbols that support the theme, along with letters and numbers. When you activate the free spins feature, a quick bonus game has you choose a fishing spot to determine what your multiplier will be, for a maximum of six times your winnings. There is also a gamble feature.
