Slot Review: Reel
Baron
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s… Reel Baron! This
online slot game is a gentle send-up of “The Red Baron,” the
codename given to the German flying ace Manfred von Richthofen. This
game actually has nothing to do with Snoopy or pizza, but don’t be
disappointed – Reel Baron is a crackerjack slot machine title
offering plenty of thrills and excitement with a World War I theme,
colorful graphics, and exciting gameplay action.
Reel Baron is a five-reel, twenty-payline online slot machine title
by Microgaming. Coin values start at one cent and range upwards to
fifty cents, with max coins of two hundred making the top per-spin
wager one of one hundred dollars. The jackpot is two thousand coins,
or one thousand dollars. We don’t mind a jackpot that is on the
smaller side and pays out often, but the high wager-to-jackpot ratio
(1:10) makes us a little leery. It’s great to try out a new pokey
ever now and then, but don’t sink too much money into this one of
you aren’t on a hot streak!
A flying hat and goggles, a bomb with a dollar sign ($), a chest
full of treasure, and some military medals are all present on the
reels, displayed in vibrant colors and supporting the theme well.
The Red Baron logo is the wild symbol, and the compass symbol is
both the scatter and bonus symbol. If you get three of these, you
will win fifteen free spins! In addition, getting more compasses can
win you prizes of several times you wager amount!
