Slot Review: Samba Nights
Samba is a
style of Latin ballroom dancing, one that originated in Brazil
during the celebration of Carnival (or what we call Mardi Gras). The
name of the dance comes from the Portuguese word “semba.” The dance
is characterized by stylized belly-bumping and rolling steps that
require a great deal of skill! If you watch shows like Dancing With
The Stars (Strictly Come Dancing in the U.K.) or So You Think You
Can Dance, you will have seen the samba in action! Samba Nights is
one of Microgaming’s newest online slot machine titles for April
2009, and promises plenty of exotic flair – even for those with two
left feet!
Samba Nights is a five-reel, fifty-payline online slot machine
title. There are only a handful of games with this many paylines, so
we were really excited when this one came out. Coin values start at
one cent and range all the way up to twenty dollars! You can bet
fifty coins at a time, or one per payline. That makes for a massive
one thousand dollar maximum per-spin wager. The jackpot is an
equally hefty two thousand coins, or forty thousand dollars!
The samba girl in her dramatic costume is the wild symbol for this
slot game. The image of the beach is the scatter symbol – get at
least three of these to earn twenty free spins with a double
multiplier! You will also see poker letters and numbers in funky
shapes, and other festive symbols perfectly befitting the theme of
this game.
