Slot Review: Blue Lagoon
Blue Lagoon
was a huge hit when it came out. Starring a fourteen-year-old Brooke
Shields as a long-legged, nubile castaway on a desert island coming
of age alongside a toned and golden-haired Christopher Atkins, the
gentle story of teenage love blooming among the tropical flora was
an instant hit. The Blue Lagoon online slot machine game has nothing
to do with the movie, but still gives players plenty of pretty
sights at which to look. Seashells and fish are the symbols on the
reels of this punter, which should appeal to anyone who loves going
to the beach and swimming in the ocean.
Blue Lagoon is a three-reel, single-payline online slot machine
title in the fashion of a classic slot game. Vegas Technology
produced this title. Coin values start at ten cents and range
upwards to ten dollars, with max coins of five making the highest
per-spin wager one of fifty dollars. The jackpot is one of
twenty-five hundred dollars. On a maxed-out bet, that’s twenty-five
thousand dollars! Not quite enough to buy your own island, but
certainly enough to charter a boat for a weeklong cruise, if you so
wish!
The seashell is the only paying symbol for this game. The pay table
can be a little complicated, as it shows the payouts broken down by
how many coins you have bet. The shell is also a scatter symbol,
since you win a prize for getting one, no matter where it is. Other
non-paying symbols include the seahorse, the pink starfish, and a
swimming fish. There is a stop feature which stops the reels
individually to make the game a little more interesting.
