Topless Slots?
Dream On!
The hard-working topless dancers of the Glitter
Gulch gentleman’s club will not be getting slot machines, despite
their best efforts. The Vegas strip club has been angling for a
license to operate a few coin-operated gambling machines and has
officially been turned down by Nevada state authorities. The club
had attempted to persuade gaming regulators that their establishment
would be a great home for a few slots, but authorities had to
disagree, given the strip club’s blemished record of drug abuse and
sex for hire.
Undercover police reportedly visited the club twice on a covert
basis, trying to feel out whether Glitter Gulch would be a good
place to install the slot games. Unfortunately, both visits went
awry – the cops were hit on by prostitutes during the first visit
and solicited to buy illegal drugs on the second. The state gaming
board held a meeting to discuss the topic of slots at the strip
club, but voted against the idea when they heard about the illegal
activities taking place there.
According to state gambling authorities, they will not give a slot
license to any establishment that does not have a clean record. They
said that they were already on the fence about giving slot games to
Glitter Gulch, but the reports of unsavory activities taking place
there simply sent them over the edge. The authorities did say that
Glitter Gulch was free to reapply for permission to install the slot
machines, if they cleaned up their act. For the sake of that large
portion of the gambling population that enjoys both slot games and
topless girls, we fervently hope that they do!
