Top Slot Myths
Debunked!
People who make a habit of playing the online
slots tend to start believing that their familiarity with the slot
machines gives them some sort of inside information. Frequent slots
players tend to hold a set of common myths about the machines, myths
that they truly believe are factual. Unfortunately, these
superstitions are just that – stories.
Players of both land-based and online slot machines tend to believe
that, if a casino is busy, the slot games will pay out more
generously. They may have adopted the attitude that, if the casino
is full of players, it can afford to set the machines to pay out
more. The idea that slot machines can be “adjusted” to pay out more
or less within a day’s time is pure myth… these games may not be
“fixed” or adjusted to a different pay-out ratio without clearing
the change with the Gaming Control Board, first.
Some old-school slot machine fans are also leery of online slot
games. They believe that the digital slot machines “know” how long a
player has been playing, or even how much they have won.
Accordingly, a machine or game will allegedly not pay out as heavily
if one has only been playing a short time, or has just won a tidy
sum. Again, it’s not hard to tell that this is just a fanciful myth.
The slots on the World Wide Web do not “know” you, anymore than the
old-fashioned, hand-cranked lots in destinations like Las Vegas do.
They don’t have a memory, or any ulterior motives… they are simply
computers!
