Slot Review: Bermuda
Triangle
The Halloween season is upon us. While we did not
include the Bermuda Triangle title as part of our series on creepy
and spooky seasonally-appropriate online slot machines, we’d be
hard-pressed to find a theme that fills us with as much dread as
this one. For the uninitiated, the Triangle is an area off the
coasts of southeastern Florida and Bermuda in which untold numbers
of unexplained events have occurred. Theorists disagree on the
precise shape and size of the Bermuda Triangle, but know that a
statistically disturbing amount of marine and airborne vessels have
disappeared within it, never to be seen again. This slot game from
Playtech captures the mystery and intrigue of this paranormal
geographic zone in a title that looks like an old-fashioned
one-armed bandit.
The appearance of this three-reel, five-payline game is unique, in
that it actually mimics the “feel” of playing a land device, with
the sides of adjacent poker machines visible on the edges of your
computer screen. This online slot offers a tiny non-progressive
jackpot, but fans of shows like The X-Files and Unsolved Mysteries
will undoubtedly get a kick out of its retro, scary feel.
Coin values range from one nickel to five dollars, with max coins of
five and a top jackpot of fine thousand dollars. Line up icons of
giant squid, airplanes, sharks, and sailing ships to play your luck,
and enjoy the sound of a deep-sea submarine’s engine firing when you
spin the reels. We personally wouldn’t play this one with the lights
out, but you may be braver than us!
