Slot Review: Rock
the Boat
Who doesn’t love the King? This online slot game
features a truly unique theme - truthfully, some of us thought it
was a little bizarre. Microgaming decided to dedicate an internet
fruit machine title to the immortal music of Elvis Presley… with a
maritime twist. The main graphic on this title is a very good
depiction of an Elvis-esque figure (jet-black pompadour, glittering
suit, a guitar) posing on a rowboat, with a lighthouse in the
background. This punter takes its name from the quintessential Elvis
tune “Rock the Boat.”
This three-reel, single-payline slot game has a lot of charm.
Symbols on the reels show guitars, lighthouses, Elvis, and single,
double, and triple BAR icons. Visually, this pokey is interesting,
with swirling colors of blue and purple really depicting the water
theme, while the picture of Elvis and the name of the game are much
brighter. This is a pretty basic slot game, but it has many
appealing aspects.
Rock the Boat allows you to make bets from twenty-five cents to five
dollars, with a maximum coin size of two and a top (non-progressive)
jackpot of sixteen hundred coins. That makes for a top prize of just
eight thousand dollars. How many online slot games, however, can
brag that they play “Jailhouse Rock” when you hit a winning combo?
The Elvis symbol is the wild, and can stand in for any other symbol
in a winning combination. Finishing a combo with one Elvis doubles
the payout, while finishing with two of the King gets you TRIPLE
what you could have earned otherwise!
