It Doesn’t Matter
How You Press the Button
Here at SlotsData.com, we’re pretty dedicated to
shining a beacon of truth into the darkest corners of slot machine
superstition and myth. We’ve become pretty immune to some of the
bizarre things folks think could possibly influence their luck at
the fruit machines, but every now and then, we still hear something
that blows our collective minds. The last one was probably the
player who believed that a person’s horoscope could influence their
luck at the slots. This one isn’t quite that loony, but it’s close.
Apparently, there are some people who believe that the WAY you push
the button on the pokey will make a difference on the outcome. We
kid you not. These folks believe that there is a certain method to
nudging the trigger – a specific touch, if you will – that
guarantees a win, if performed in precisely the right way. The
technique goes like this. Take the side of your finger, and press on
the very edge of the button, while sliding your digit to the center
of the button. We’ve never tried this technique, so we can’t say for
certain that it’s malarkey, but we’re willing to believe that it’s
bunk, method untried.
Look. You can gently caress the “MAX BET” button while whispering
sweet nothings to the slot machine, or you can punch the button with
your fist (although that one might damage the machine, so maybe
not!)… the result is not going to change. If your slot game of
choice has a legacy handle, you can even give it a pull… it’s all
the same to your slot, which has no “intelligence” or personality.
