UK Casino Donates to Breast Cancer Research

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it seems that every year around this time, the entire world becomes awash in pink. The pink ribbon, of course, is the iconic symbol promoting awareness of breast cancer, a disease that claims the lives of thousands of women a year. Even the online slot machine and casino gambling industry is thinking pink. Famous United Kingdom gambling firm William Hill has teamed up with the Breast Cancer Care charity to devise a month long fundraiser that will raise money to help find a cure for this terrible disease.

Specific Will Hill online slots and other casino gambling titles have been designated Pink Ribbon Games. These machines are very special. Ten percent of all the income from these pokies and bingo devices will be donated directly to Breast Cancer Cares, along with a donation of ten British pounds for every new player to join up and register for a Will Hill players club card (plus bet at least twenty pounds before the end of 2008) throughout the tenth month of the year.

The online slot machine and casino gambling firm’s Public Relations Manager Jennie Prest stated that William Hill is “delighted” to be doing its part towards finding a cure for breast cancer. The firm acknowledged that Breast Cancer Cares does “terrific work” towards supporting women during a time of their lives when they might be feeling very alone and in need of a helping hand. A representative for the charity opined that the partnership with William Hill should be “extremely successful” in making a “meaningful difference” in the lives of people afflicted by the disease.
