Slot Manufacturer
Profile: AC Coin & Slot (Part 1)
Mac Seelig of Atlantic City founded the slot
machine manufacturing company AC Coin & Slot in 1978. Seeling
started the business from his New Jersey home, probably never
dreaming that it would burgeon into the highly-successful and
lucrative operation it has become today! AC Coin & Slot has since
shifted its headquarters to the town of Pleasantville, but its roots
are strong. To this day, Mac’s three sons still head up operations
for the company, which is currently three hundred employees strong!
AC Coin & Slot’s rise to prominence began in 1983, with a major
milestone. Seelig signed an exclusive American distribution deal
with International Gaming Technology – a name that serious slot game
fans undoubtedly recognize! Nowadays, IGT puts out some of the
hottest casino and online slot machine titles. Before its meteoric
rise to fame, however, AC Coin & Slot was a close sister of IGT.
The company expanded prolifically in the 1990s. Seelig and other
slot machine company execs turned their attention to the western
part of the United States, and opened offices in Las Vegas and
California. The manufacturer has stations throughout the country,
from Florida to New Jersey, and from Illinois to Colorado. At this
time, the “Bonus Road Rally” slot game title was one of its biggest
sellers, and really put the company on the map.
Today, AC Coin & Slot is best known for its
stratospherically-popular Slotto games. This slot / lottery game
hybrid is one of the best-loved titles in the world of online slot
machines, and has spawned many spin-offs, like Popcorn Slotto.
