Online Casino Shifts
Software Providers
A popular online slot machine and casino betting
site has announced that it will be switching software providers
imminently, with no explanation for the change. The Littlewoods
Casino, located on the World Wide Web at LittlewoodsCasino.com,
announced last week that it will be shifting over to casino software
offered by 888.com, from that provided by Cryptologic/Wagerlogic.
Spokespeople for the casino offered no reasoning or explanation for
the shift, which was declared to be finally effective as of
tomorrow’s date – October 2, 2008.
In an interview, a spokesman for the online slots and casino
gambling site would only say that the Littlewoods staff was going to
try and make the changeover as painless as possible for its players,
who naturally might be concerned about their accounts being held by
the Cryptologic/Wagerlogic network. The mouthpiece for the casino
stated that customers of the casino would, for a “limited period,”
be able to request withdrawals of their funds from the current
networks, but would not be able to make deposits. He said that he
could not say how long player’s funds with Cryptologic/Wagerlogic
would be available, and could only confirm that the switch would be
complete and total.
As of this evening, the Littlewoods Casino’s main page displayed an
“Under Construction” banner, with a brief note thanking players for
their patience while the casino’s operators endeavored to make
players’ “future gaming experience as smooth and streamlined as
possible.” They promised that the site would be back up in “a few
hours,” with all games “up and running.”
