What Do We Like in
Slot Games? (2 of 2)
Great features are another deal breaker. While
some online slot machines adhere to the “feeling” of classic slots
and don’t clutter themselves up with too many bells and whistles, we
can appreciate a thoroughly modern one-armed bandits as much as
anyone else. Wild symbols, multipliers, scatters, and free spins are
practically standard nowadays. We’re really into online slot games
that borrow from British fruit machine titles. Hi/lo gamble
opportunities, nudges, and holds are something that you don’t see
too frequently. On that same token, online slots that integrate
creative and inspired bonus games tend to be unforgettable. The more
we look, the less difference we see between slots and the best video
games nowadays. Second-screen bonuses are giving us the opportunity
to fight bad guys, shoot out windows, and smash up cars. And we love
it!
Original ideas, in general, are always nice. How many online slots
are there out there with the theme of sea life, for example? We’ve
seen what feels like a million and one pokies based off of: vintage
comedy TV shows, witches, types of alcohol, and, of course, fruit.
When we find a device with something a little different to offer, we
get excited.
Of course, the basics still apply. If the coolest, sharpest, and
most original slot game with the highest payoff and neatest bonuses
was only available for download in an internet casino that had lousy
customer support, we couldn’t really recommend it in good faith.
Everyone has their own personal list of things that either “make” or
“break” an online slot experience… now, you know ours!
