Slot Review: Jewel
Thief
Most of us would never compromise our ethics to do
so, but who hasn’t dreamed of breaking into a bank vault in the dead
of night and making off with sacks full of priceless loot? That’s
the premise behind Jewel Thief, a multi-payline online slot title
from casino software giant Microgaming. Jewel Thief is a simple slot
machine, but it has a certain retro cache that we enjoyed for its
novelty and execution. Microgaming online slots are pretty much
always our favorites, so this is not really a surprise!
This non-progressive online slot has three reels and three paylines
of criminal action for you to vicariously enjoy. It offers coin
values ranging from five cents to five dollars, with max coins of
three. That amounts to a modest fifteen dollars maximum bet, which
is in keeping with the simple jackpot amount of just thirty thousand
dollars. Safe locks and diamonds join the Jewel Thief logo and
classic BAR symbols on the reels in bright primary colors. The jewel
thief himself is the wild symbol, which means that he can stand in
for any other icon on the reels in a winning combination. During
your play, you will hear nighttime sounds as background noise, which
really sets the mood for your late-night heist!
Seasoned online slots fans are unlikely to get too much from Jewel
Thief, on account of its low jackpot. The small maximum bet doesn’t
offer much of a challenge for those who like more than a little risk
to their gambling, either. On the other hand, this would be a fun
and educational slot game for someone who is new to the world of
internet casinos, so we would recommend it as such.
