Missing Your Freebie
Fix?
You don’t have to be a major high roller to reap
the benefits of casino freebies. These attractive perks (ranging
from drinks on the house to gratis room stays) are a gambling
establishment’s first line of defense in ensuring that they keep
your business. Let’s face it – especially give the current state of
the American economy, the casino industry is highly competitive.
Slot machines have a plethora of options as to places they can go to
get in their fix of playing their luck, and every joint with a few
one-armed bandits wants to be your destination of choice.
How, exactly, do slot machine gambling establishments determine
whether or not you are a player worthy of giving freebies to? It has
to do with two factors that you probably have never heard of before:
your ADT, also known as your “theo.” Your Average Daily Theoretical
lets your casino of choice let you know how much revenue you
represent per day of play. It’s usually calculated on your last few
trips, and has everything to do with your player’s card.
Anything you do within a casino that requires you to swipe your card
starts a day’s “trip” in the casino computers. If you show up to
play the slot machines, the money you have spent is being added up
for that day, and will be averaged among the last, say, five times
that you visited. Keep in mind that some things can mess with your “theo.”
Casinos will periodically host giveaways or raffles for its players
that entice you to visit the establishment, but not necessarily
play. If you swipe your card to collect a giveaway, but leave
without playing, that will play havoc on your ADT, because an amount
of zero dollars will be logged for that visit. Players with lower
theos are less valuable to a casino, and are less likely to find
themselves on the receiving end of comped casino booty.
