Slot Review: Birds
of Paradise
Birds of Paradise is a perfectly serviceable, but
not terribly exciting online slot game from lesser-known casino
gambling software provider Vegas Technology. Unless you get really
excited about members of the avian family of the animal kingdom,
it’s unlikely that you will be very motivated to devote excessive
spins to this title. Several tropical bird species are featured in
this slot machine, along with some other icons related to their life
and environment.
Birds of Paradise is a non-progressive online slot with five reels
and twenty-five paylines. Coin values range from one cent to five
dollars, with up to twenty-five coins a bet allowed. That makes this
game a modest attraction for high-rollers with a top wager of one
hundred twenty-five bucks. It touts a jackpot of up to fifty
thousand coins. Again, this isn’t bad, but not great, either. Along
with the birds, there are also symbols of eggs, nests, and
binoculars, as well as the flowers that are named after the title.
Filling out the reels are images of letters and numbers, which our
faithful readers will recognize as one of our LEAST favorite slot
game tropes. There are some chirping noises integrated into the
gameplay, for a more interactive experience.
The orange bird is the wild symbol in this online slot machine,
which means that it can stand in for any other symbol on the reels
in a winning combination, with the exception of the scatter. Get two
or more of the nest icon on the reels and win a scatter prize. Three
or more nests triggers the twenty free spins bonus, during which all
wins are doubled. Not too shabby, but nothing to caw about, either!
