Knowing Your Slot
Game Types
On the World Wide Web, as in “real life,” there
are virtually as many slot machine titles to choose from as stars in
the sky! Narrowing down which game to play can be tough, but knowing
how to differentiate your choices will be a big help. Slots can be
divided as belonging to at least one category. Here are the
different varieties of fruit machines that you need to know.
Classic Slots: These games have three reels and a single payline,
just like the oldest slot machines on record. Many have “retro”
themes in homage to this type’s connection to classic gaming.
Progressive Jackpot Slots: Not too long ago, slot devices were
programmed to have a static jackpot. If you got lucky on these
devices, you always knew how much you would be getting. Progressive
jackpots really upped the ante! Every time a bet is placed on one of
these machines, the jackpot grows. It continues to grow until
someone wins! Some of the biggest prizes in gambling have been won
on these games.
Bonus Feature Slots: These games feature a special bonus feature,
which usually takes the form of a second-screen game in which you
can win extra prizes and money. With technology getting better and
better, many of these bonus rounds are starting to resemble
high-tech video games!
Regular Multiplier Slots: These games offer no incentive for betting
the max coins.
Bonus Multiplier Slots: The opposite of regular multiplier slots;
these games entice you to bet the highest number if coins possible
by giving you the chance to win more money per coin bet. If you are
what gamblers call a “onesie,” these are titles to avoid.
Multiple Payline Slots: These games offer many opportunities to win,
with more than just the standard one payline! Software designers
have gone crazy with the concept of multiple paylines! We played at
least one game recently that had one hundred! The only downside to
these is that it can be tough to keep track of where all the lines
are, and where you have placed your bets.
