Slot Review: As the
Reels Turn (1/3)
Fans of television soap operas (called telenovelas
in Spanish-speaking countries) will undoubtedly recognize the pun in
the online slot game title, “As the Reels Turn.” It’s a clever play
on “As the World Turns,” the name of a classic soap airing daily on
the American CBS network that has been in production for fifty-two
years and counting! The television serial, set in the nonexistent
town of Oakdale, Illinois, made history for premiering as the first
half-hour drama on TV. In the spirit of this historic television
series comes a slot machine game with plenty of backstabbing, drama,
and romance. As the Reels Turn is not affiliated with CBS or As the
World Turns.
As the Reels Turn is a five-reel, fifteen-payline online slot game.
You may bet between one cent and twenty-five cents per coin, with
the highest coin size established at seventy-five. The jackpot of
one thousand coins, or two hundred fifty dollars, is one of the
smallest we have ever seen. With that said, this title pays out more
often than almost any other punter we’ve played, so the trade-off is
fair. As the Reels Turn will introduce you to a new concept: the iSlot. An iSlot is one that consists of multiple levels, which one
must play to unlock. This game features three unique levels, of
which this particular game is the first.
You will meet The Don in this installment, along with the beautiful
Chrissy and the brooding Matt G. Icons of the opulent life, such as
gambling chips, money, lobsters, and wine glasses fill out the
reels. A bonus game asks you to find the counterfeit poker chip to
win. You must collect three icons of “Advance to the Next Scene” to
continue with this fascinating story and well-made, infinitely
replayable slot machine game.
