Slot Review: Three
Times the Riches
It’s often said that good things and bad things
alike come in multiples of three. Judging from our experience
playing the Three Times the Riches online slot machine game, we can
now affirm that mediocre things can also be added to the list of
things that come in triads. The “Three” of the title has to do with
reels. This slot game comes to us from Parlay Entertainment, a
lesser-known slot technology provider. A bizarre game layout and
dismally repetitive gameplay cast a pall over our opinions that
could not be lifted by a substantial jackpot.
Three Times the Riches is a three-reel, five-payline slot game. Had
there been three paylines, we might have understood the title a bit
better. Coin values range from five cents to five dollars, with max
coins set at five. The highest wager is twenty-five dollars. The
jackpot is ten thousand coins, or fifty thousand dollars given a
maxed-out bet.
The game logo is the jackpot symbol (as well as the wild symbol and
multiplier), with blue and green icons of the number seven sharing
reel space with single, double, and triple BAR pictures and
cherries. We didn’t understand why the reels (the most important
part of an online slot game!) took up less than one quarter of the
screen, with the pay table being unnecessarily huge and the outsized
logo occupying key real estate. It’s our opinion that shoddy game
design is an unpardonable sin – one that Parlay has committed
unabashedly with this title.
