Slot Review: Caesar
Salad
Caesar Salad was another one of those online slot
games that just perplexed us. The title tells us that this game has
something to do with Caesar salad, that quintessential side dish
made with romaine lettuce, parmesan, and an anchovy-based dressing.
On the other hand, the slot machine’s imagery hearkens back to the
glory days of ancient Rome. We’re pretty sure that the gladiators
were not chowing down on health food before a big match, so we’re
not entirely sure what the two things have in common!
Caesar Salad is a five-reel, twenty-five payline online slot from
the Cryptologic online casino software firm. Coin values range from
one cent all the way up to ten dollars, with max coins of
twenty-five. High rollers take note: the top wager per spin on this
title is a robust two hundred fifty dollars! The jackpot is seven
thousand five hundred coins, or seventy-five thousand dollars. So
far, so good.
The icons on the reels are evocative of both “Caesar” references
that are made throughout the online slot game. In terms of the Roman
ruler, there are soldiers, a chariot, and Caesar’s pretty brunette
wife. The symbol of Caesar’s wife is wild. If you happen to get at
least three of these during a spin, you will receive ten free spins
during which all winnings are tripled! On the other hand, there are
all the fixings one needs to prepare a Caesar salad… oil, chicken,
lettuce, et cetera. There is also a lion eating salad. Overall, we
thought that this game was more than a little goofy, but fun.
