Slot Review: Red
Planet
As of two years ago, we have one less planet in
our solar system. With the downgrade of Pluto from official
planetary status to the classification of a dwarf planet, all the
acronyms we learned as schoolchildren are now virtually useless!
Luckily for the creators of the Red Planet online slot game, Mars’s
ranking seems pretty secure! As one of the closest planet to the
Earth, Mars has always held a particular mystique to the citizens of
this planet. We make movies and write books about what life forms
could potential inhabit such a cold and noxious environment. Much of
science fiction literature takes place on Mars. Fans of this kind of
entertainment will get a kick out of this well-designed and
lucrative title.
Red Planet is a three-reel, five-payline slot machine game. Coin
values range from twenty-five cents to five dollars, with top coin
size established at five. That means that the highest wager is
twenty-five dollars, a modest risk. The jackpot is set at a fixed
amount of eight thousand coins, or forty thousand dollars. Not an
otherworldly sum of money, but we’d take it in a heartbeat!
Everything in this slot game makes you feel like you are aboard a
spaceship that has landed on the titular Red Planet. Your screen
looks like a porthole window overlooking Mars, with the reels
superimposed over the glass. Images on the reels include spaceships
and planets. You will experience lifelike sound effects, like gasses
rising off the surface of the planet. All in all, we think that you
will enjoy this superior title from software firm Cryptologic,
creator of some of our favorite gambling diversions.
